Location

Under the lower edge of the instrument panel, just left of the steering column at the bottom edge of the driver's knee bolster, connector facing down. It is easy to miss standing up: kneel in the door opening and look up left of the column. No cover or flap. Same position on all 2002-2008 Ram 1500 cab styles and trims (and the 2500/3500 of the same body). If it is not there, check whether a remote-start or alarm installer has unclipped it and tucked it up behind the dash. US trucks are left-hand drive only.
